Telus Partnership
TELUS and B.C. High School Boys’ Basketball Association have signed a $260,000, four-year partnership. TELUS supports the B.C. High School Boys’ Basketball Association with this unpresidented four-year, $260,000 title sponsorship of the annual AAA provincial tournament. This year’s TELUS BC Boys’ AAA Basketball Championships are March 11 – 17, 2008 at the PNE Agrodome. The sponsorship also includes the creation of $7,500 in annual scholarships the association will distribute to B.C. basketball athletes each year. --- more

8th Annual HSBC Classic Tip Off
The 8th Annual HSBC Tournament kicks off today with 20 games.  The boys games are underway @ 2:15 pm with Kitsilano at home to Semiahoo.  A total of 16 other boys games today are scheduled at 8 venues.

Girls games are underway with 4 games starting at 2:30 pm with Steveston at home taking on John Oliver.

Tomorrow we really get into high gear with a total of 30 games for the day including 16 more boys match ups, 10 girls games and this year's inaugural elementary school division gets underway with the first 4 games scheduled.

Boys and Girls & Elementary Boys Draws 2007
Boys and girls draws plus the Elementary Boys draws for 2007 now posted. Note minor changes to some times on day 2 and 3 of the girls draws have been made.

We have also added a new feature this year - the downloadable schedule is a single page format [PDF file] with room to enter game results for each game during the week.  That way you can keep track of the progress of your favourite team.  There's one for the boys games and one for girls.

The HSBC Higher Hoops Basketball Classic officially brings “March Madness-style” high school basketball to Calgary December 3rd through 8th, 2007.  Tournament Committee Chair Sean McLean of Basketball Alberta and Conroy Ross Partners has developed the following details of Alberta’s largest and most unique high school preseason basketball tournament:

PricewaterhouseCoopers [PWC] initiated the PWC Leadership Award, an innovative four year - $1,500/year scholarship.
