Three application forms are sent to each team in the tournament. The coach can nominate up to 3 graduating seniors. Each of the nominees completes an application form, which includes a letter outlining their future plans, 2 references and transcripts from Grade 10 and Grade11. The applications are forwarded on to selection committees for each division. This year there are selection committees for High School Boys, High School Girls, First Nations and Cheerleading Divisions.
The selection committees review all applications and rank the applicants based on their community involvement, athletic achievement, academic commitment and leadership.
