How does the tournament work in terms of making it to the finals?
In the Boys High School Division, teams must win in order to advance in the tournament though each team is guaranteed two games.
In the Girls High School Division, teams must win in order to advance in the tournament though each team is guaranteed three games.
In the Elementary School Division, teams must win in order to advance in the tournament. Each team is guaranteed 3 games.
In the First Nations Division, preliminary rounds are a round robin format. Each team will play the others once. The top two teams will advance to the finals. In the event of a tie, head to head results will be looked at first and then a +/- point spread will be used to determine who advances if necessary.

In the Night Hoops Division, 8 teams will play for the right to make it to the championship finals in year two. In year one 8 teams will play an exhibition series.
